在國外莫過於就是搭乘地鐵。

地鐵的說法有好幾種，像是最常聽見的subway, metro, underground～

subway 是美式用法的地鐵，但是在英式用法則是指地下道。

metro 是法式用法，可見於台北捷運的標誌就用到"metro" underground 則是英式用法，也可以利用"underground railroad"，口語上會使用tube。

搭地鐵時都會經過驗票處，最簡單的說法是「ticket counter」。

刷卡進站則是「scan the ticket/easycard and pass through the gate」。
